- chookkeeper Review added: 2018.08.20★ ★ ★ ★ ★We visited the hall in May. My daughter ran through the maze and in her excitement dropped her camera. She did not know where it was and was rather upset. It was new, bought with birthday money and had all the photos from her two week holiday. We were flying back to Australia later that afternoon and she wanted to have her pictures to show her Dad and big sister. I was not looking forward to a twenty six hour flight with a distraught daughter!
The staff and owners were fantastic. They appreciated how important it was to find the camera and informed other visitor and literally got down on hands and knees to search along the paths and under the hedges. After several (slow and painful) trips through the maze and fortified by delicious tea and cake, the camera was found in the maze's centre, next to the stone unicorn! Phew!
The exterior of the Hall is beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the maze is wonderful and the staff lovely. Well worth a visit ... But watch out for that naughty unicorn! He is a tricky character :)
